Abundant sunshine, low humidity, warm days and crisp evenings and mornings have also enabled a growing vineyard and winery industry in the valley. Tasting rooms are open daily, many with restaurants on-site, providing culinary delights paired with wines that properly complement the cuisine. Seasonal barrel tastings are available, also. The same cool, crisp mornings have provided the ideal climate for daily hot air balloon flights, with the morning skies frequently filled with the colorful envelopes, with rides offered by a number of local and regional pilots. The annual Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival perfectly pairs and highlights the local balloon and wine industries, and provides a weekend of varied entertainment for the whole family. The valley has become a destination for various car and motorcycle club excursions. Many weekend visitors have chosen to relocate to the region, or invest in second homes, to more fully appreciate the advantages our corner of the Inland Empire has to offer.
